Young Actors Camp invites well-known actors to be a part of workshops and question-and-answer sessions. It is important for young actors to be inspired by those who once walked in their shoes.
It is important to be informed on current casting trends and work with those that can offer insight into the world of the working actor.
Though this is summer camp and FUN is our number one priority, we understand that this is a career goal for some. Therefore, we offer parent education programs, a Temporary Move program, and we keep a list of interested young actors who are called for auditions all year round.
IMDB.com is by far the most telling source of an actor with professional and recent film/TV credits. It takes years for actors to earn these credits. Our professional productions give a credible and well-earned IMDB credit and prompts a dedicated IMDB page that reinforces a proficient actor.
For participants ages 15 ½ and older, we offer a college credit program. This is on a first apply/first secured basis.
Production companies and industry executives work countless hours before and after camp to complete television and film projects that allow our actors to shine in professional level productions shown around the world in film festivals.
During our first week of camp, our audition class leads to a fantastic event; delivering a commercial line to a panel of Film/TV Agent’s. This is an EDUCATIONAL based event that will allow our young actors to practice their skills while obtaining valuable comments and advice.
Our participants are from every corner of the globe. We do not want our aspiring actors to leave our program without the ability and knowledge to submit for acting opportunities worldwide (submissions with parent supervision is stressed). This inspirational workshop is one that we are very proud to offer.
Career exploration is SO IMPORTANT for all actors! Often our participants are in love with the film industry and may not know about the many occupations that make it run. We will speak with production professionals in many roles to understand their place in this exciting industry.
Every class a film actor should have on their resume is completed by our actors’ with-in just first week of camp. By the end of the fourth week, our actors have resumes that are competitive by Los Angeles standards.
The most important tool for any actor is a headshot. What photos capture the attention of Casting Directors? What should you wear? Not only will we address these important questions, all of our actors will have a headshot session and take home a disc for reproductions.
We never guarantee where or what we’ll do during a campers stay but in 2013 our young actors went to the Percy Jackson red carpet premier and watched the movie WITH the stars, we visited working studios, met celebrities on location and so much more. These various outings cement the understanding of how this industry comes together.
Young Actors Camp has a lead Director on site at all times.
Room, board and all camp activities are included in the price. (Glee has six meals purchased by campers due to our travel for performances.)
Conferences, classes, and ACA informational staff meetings are a part of our year round training. Dealing with homesickness, bullying, confidence building to handling medical/natural emergencies- we are ready!

The comparable program: The program line-up must have been in place/executed last summer and continue to be an offering for the upcoming summer. The program should be a film acting program that is directed to young actors under 19 years of age. Each offering we are posing as unique to our program, must be advertised on the programs website and/or printed materials in clear text as a offering for the tuition paid.
